Booklet HL7 - Communication standard in healthcare
A basic introduction into HL7 standard v2 and partially v3 was prepared
in 2001 as Czech translation of the original booklet named "HL7, Communication standard in
medicine, Short introduction and information.", made by HL7 Germany
(Kai U. Heitmann, Bernd Blobel and Joachim Dudeck). The booklet contains
the introduction into standard, explains aims and basic terminology of HL7,
the current state and future views are discussed, the cooperation with other standards is also emphasized. The success of the bookled resulted in translation of the booklet for international distribution. The booklet also introduces the HL7 Inc. and International Affiliates.

HL7 Roadshow 2001
The first HL7 Roadshow in the Czech republic has taken place in the House of
physicians in Prague on April 20th, 2001 under the name "Mezinárodní standard HL7 - cesta k lepší zdravotní péči".
The event was supported by the

European Center of Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology
and AMIS company.
